BIM Model Workflow
- Visualize mesh model.
- Classify Mesh Model
.
- Add stories for each level of the building.
- Select a classification template for each story.
- Classification tools: Classify, Merge and Split Surfaces, using the Split Surfaces Tool and/or selecting individual surfaces.
You must have at least one story with some classified walls before you can create BIMs.
Where possible, Merge multiple surfaces to create single objects and optimize the model.
- Use Space to Create BIM Model
with floor plans for each story.
- Edit BIM Model in 2D View. For example, for each story, you can combine walls and make them square; split and delete walls; add walls, partitions, doors, and windows; change dimension and position of doors and windows; equalize wall heights, create rooms, and change the elevation.
- Create Floor Plan and Report. Add doors and windows, set story elevation, and create floor plans exported as DXF (including room names), and reports of the site (stories, rooms, area etc) as a PDF or HTML.
- Export Models and Create CSV Report as IFC.
- Open IFC Export in Revit.
